WASHINGTON organization Donald Trump said it cut ties to help and former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, amid allegations of sexual misconduct carried out by a Trump donor.
“Corey Lewandowski will continue with other efforts and we want to thank him for his service,” said Taylor Budowich, a spokesman for Trump and his political action committee, Save America.
Lewandowski “can no longer be associated with Trump World,” Budowich said late Wednesday.
Trump removed Lewandowski as campaign manager in 2016, but eventually hired him back to his board of advisers.

The announcement came hours after Politico reported that Lewandowski made unwanted sexual advances to a Trump donor at a charity event last week in Las Vegas.
Trashelle Odom, the wife of Idaho executive John Odom, told Politico in a statement that Lewandowski “repeatedly touched me inappropriately, said bad and disgusting things to me, I was struck, and I felt violated and frightened. “

In his statement, Odom said Lewandowski “claimed he controlled access to the former president,” and “clarified that if he crossed over, he had the power to destroy anyone and destroy their life.
David Chesnoff, an attorney for Lewandowski, said in a statement that the accusations and rumors appear to be morphing in minutes and we will not honor them in a further response.
Lewandowski, an original member of Trump’s campaign team for the 2016 election, worked the latest administration of a Trump Super PAC called Make America’s Great Action Again. He will be replaced by Pam Bondi, the longtime Trump booster and former Florida attorney general.
Trump fired Lewandowski as campaign manager in 2016, following conflicts with Trump family members. Even then, Trump continued to talk to Lewandowski, and seek his advice during the 2020 presidential campaign.
