Donald Eugene Saltsman, 85, of Medaryville, IN returned home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on October 30, 1935 in Medaryville to the late Hallie and Edna [Brick] Saltsman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On October 30, 1957, Donald married the love of his life, Beverly Jean Moisan, at Medaryville Christian Church. He survived.

Donald is a lifelong member and past commander of Medaryville American Legion Post # 96. Donald loves fishing, the outdoors, and making new friends. She doesn’t know a stranger and loves helping the community. Everyone who knows Donald will say that his greatest legacy is his jokes, laughter, and his amazing smile that can touch anyone’s heart. His sense of humor can lighten anyones day. Donald will miss a lot.

The visit will be from 11 AM 12 NOON EDT Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Frain Mortuary Queron-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN.

Funeral Services will be at 12 NOON EDT Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Frain Mortuary Queron-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, IN with Chaplain Joe Mollet officiating.

Military Tributes will take place at the funeral following the services.

Private Burial will take place at White Post Cemetery.

Contributions to memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
