DeSantis, Trump will bring down the potential main face

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. A new poll shows that if a presidential referendum were held today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump would be almost linked.

However, DeSantis and Trump have abandoned the prospect of a DeSantis pesidential run in 2024 in recent days.

The latest comments have put a damper on a common line of attack that DeSantis has faced from his likely 2022 opponent.

Both have been repeatedly proposed by the same Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried and U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist that if DeSantis wins re -election, he will resign and run for president in 2024.

He ran for president in 2024, and he forgot Florida in 2022, Crist said at a Democratic event in September.

And if he is to be successful, he will leave half of his four -year term, Fried said in an interview in June.

Appearing on Fox News on Thursday, DeSantis said his focus is on Florida.

I don’t consider doing anything beyond doing my job, DeSantis said.

In an interview with Yahoo Finance on Sunday, the former president said of a potential DeSantis-Trump face in 2024: I don’t think I’ll face him, because I wouldn’t see that if I did. I don’t see that. I think most people will lose. I think he will lose.

Chair of the Seats for the Florida Republican Party Evan Power said it was no surprise that DeSantis had attracted rumors about a presidential run.

What he did in Florida made Florida a model for the country, and I think he invested more in anything in selling how Florida won. Of course that makes him a national leader, Power said.

As for rumors of a potential presidential runner working against the governor in 2022, Republicans said they came out of concern.

I think that’s kind of a ridiculous strategy for Democrats because they usually say that our governor is doing a very good job that hell could be president, Power said.

Another idea that floated was the prospect of a Trump-DeSantis ticket in 2024.

It’s a possibility that Trump said he was open.

All speculation about me is purely fabricated. I’m just doing my job I hear it all and honestly, it makes no sense. So, you know, I don’t really know what to say to the rumors, DeSantis said.
