Washington DC [US], Oct. 6 (ANI): Former U.S. President Donald Trump and real estate mogul dropped from the Forbes 400 list of America’s richest people for the first time in 25 years, the magazine reported. The Forbes report said Trump has the same amount of wealth as he had a year ago, but he has dropped USD 600 million since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Trump’s fortune is worth approximately USD 2.5 billion, leaving him USD 400 million less than the cutoff to make this year’s Forbes list.
The report said Trump had a golden opportunity during the U.S. presidential elections. “Fresh into the 2016 election, federal ethics officials are pushing Trump to remove his real estate assets. He will be allowed to reinvest the proceeds broadly based on index funds and assume with no office of conflicting interests, ”the Forbes report said. However, the former US president decided to hang on to his assets. “At the time, they were worth an estimated $ 3.5 billion, after reducing debt.” The magazine found Trump to blame for this collapse of positions. “If Trump is looking for anyone to blame, he can start with himself.” A few days before entering the White House, Trump noted that “I can really run my business and run the government at the same time.” “I don’t like the way it looks, but I can do that if I want to. I’m the only one who can do that,” Trump said, as quoted by Forbes. (ANI)
