Donald Trump claimed that ‘everyone wants a vaccine’ when he was president

One in three Americans over the age of 18 will remain unvaccinated, and Donald Trump said that’s because of Biden.

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, the former president said “everyone wants a vaccine” under his government.

But now, he proved, Biden is the reason for low vaccine uptake, despite Republicans (vs. Democrats and Independents) who are likely to say they don’t get the vaccine, according to Kaiser Family Foundation poll data .

Biden has repeatedly urged greater vaccination.

Speaking to Sean Hannity on his talk show on Oct. 7, former President Trump said that, when he was in office: “Nobody says ‘oh, gee, I don’t want to take this.’ Now they say that. And that’s because they don’t trust the Biden administration. I can’t think of any other reason.

“When I was there, everyone liked it, and we did well. Well, the military did an amazing job.”

Trump had previously said he could get vaccinated and he himself shot, but his supporters also boasted of noticing this fact, as Insider Joshua Zitser reported in August.

While in office, Trump asked if drinking or injecting bleach would clear COVID-19 and said the coronavirus “wasn’t a big deal” in March 2020.

A Center for Counter Digital Hate (CCDH) study found that most misinformation on COVID-19 online, including anti-vaccine messaging, came from just 12 accounts.

The CDC continues to say that vaccines are safe to use.
