Obituary

Donald Holland was born on 31 July 1949 in Surry County, North Carolina, the son of Evelyn Moser Holland and the late Strucy “IS” Holland. He was a proud Vietnam War Veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He is enjoying his retirement job after many years of service from Lowes Home Improvements. He is an avid sports fan especially for the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoys spending time at White Lake and working in wood if time allows. Donald loves spending precious time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Donald passed away at the age of 72 on October 11, 2021.

He left his loving wife of 12 years, Sandra Smith Holland of home; sons, Chris Holland (Kim), Jacob Holland (Angie); stepson, Michael “Lee” Stubbs (Nicole) and stepdaughter, Andrea Stubbs (Jerry); his mother, Evelyn Holland; siblings, Darrell Holland, Danny Holland (Linda); sisters, Thelma Wright, Carolyn Norton, Helen Garrett; grandchildren, Benjamin Holland (Savanah), Haley Marion (Brandon), Brittany Willard, Natalie Holland, Riley Holland, Seth Holland, Jayden Locklear, Kinston Locklear, Isabella Stubbs, Emma Stubbs, and her great granddaughter Caroline, are expected in December. Donald also survived many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held at Noon, on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by the Rev. Crystal Blue. The family will receive friends immediately after the funeral service.

In exchange for flowers, the family requested souvenirs to be given to Scotland Regional Hospice, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.

COVID-19 restrictions of face mask, social isolation along with limited attendance were requested for all services.
