Donald J. “Gramps” Kaiser, age 76, of Hudson, WI, died Oct. 21, 2021 at his home in Hudson, surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born on May 23, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI to Alfred and Anna (Palokonis) Kaiser. He grew up in Cudahy, WI and graduated from Don Bosco High School, the class in 1963. He attended the Milwaukee Institute of Technology and is a proud member of the Alpha Nu Beta Fraternity. He was united in marriage to Barbara Novak on May 8, 1971, and they will be blessed with two children: Katie and Sally.

For more than 22 years, Don has worked for Sears in visual merchandising and advertising. After a career change, he worked for Excell Machine & Tool, an injection mold shop, in design and engineering for 10 years, and eventually became a garage door manufacturer with luxury in design and engineering inside. of 5 years. He retired permanently in 2010.

Don is very active and committed to St. Patrick Catholic Church for many years, as a member of the choir, participating in various small groups, leading confirmation classes, and serving as eucharistic minister. Her family, especially her grandchildren, are her pride and joy and she adores attendance at all their sporting events and activities. He loved fishing trips in Northern Wisconsin and was an avid lover and wine maker.

Don is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; children: Katie (Steve) Weis and Sally (Dan) Hilsgen; grandchildren, Isaiah Rolli and Anna Rolli; sisters: Gerry Prusak, Janet (Wayne) Jessup, and Millie Croson; brother, Bob (Rosie) Kaiser; sister -in -law, Arlene Kaiser; brother -in -law, Alan Rabidoux (Eileen Schachte); mother -in -law, Victoria Novak; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Kaiser; brothers -in -law: Steve Prusak, Rich Croson, Clifford Novak, and Doug Novak; sister -in -law, Judy Rabidoux; and father -in -law, Benedict Novak.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the church. As a courtesy, the Mass will also be livestreamed on St. Louis ’Facebook page. Patrick. The funeral of a private family at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. Memories are preferred over Catholic Departmental Services.
