House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Briefly forgot the name of former President Trump in an interview Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union.
The interview focused on the John Lewis Voting Rights Act when anchor Jake Tapper brought in President Biden’s willingness to remove the filibuster to push the bill through Congress.
“So, that’s what President Biden says he’s willing to entertain the idea of removing the filibuster for the Voting Rights Act and maybe for other things. Do you agree with him on that one issue, at the end of Today , having some sort of voting rights bill is more important than retaining the filibuster, at least one of those votes? ”Tapper asked.

“The most important vote today in the United States Congress is the vote to respect the sanctity of the vote, the fundamental basis of our democracy. So, if there is one vote that can enable the filibuster to proceed, that is to be the vote, and enable the more, because we are talking about the cessation of vote suppression and the annulment of elections, ”Pelosi replied.
After insisting that voting was “basic knowledge,” Pelosi appeared to have forgotten Trump’s name when discussing the previous administration.
“Now just think, just to remind you, what — his name is president and the Republicans are in power—” Pelosi said.
“Donald Trump,” Tapper reminded him.
“Mitch McConnell revoked the filibuster to enable simple majorities three justices to go to the Supreme Court for life. You’d think they could return it for American citizens to have a vote,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi also insisted he supported efforts to remove the filibuster to support the Voting Rights Act.
“This is the most important vote. It’s about the Constitution,” Pelosi said.

It is noteworthy that Pelosi confused President Trump’s name with former President George W. Bush in 2018 when he asked to remove Devin Nunes from his position on the House Intelligence Committee.
“This is a cover -up by Republicans to protect President Bush, forgive me, President Trump in this investigation,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi also apparently forgot George Floyd’s name in 2020 when discussing Democrats ’efforts to pass police reform law.
“And I said‘ I recommend that to the Judiciary Committee and the Congressional Black Caucus that shaped the bill, but I’ll only do that if you tell me that this law is worthy of George Kirby’s name, ’and he said it is, and so we are very proud, we are very proud to bitbit that, “Pelosi said.
