Five lowlights from Donald Trump’s year of embarrassment after the election defeat

Officially a year has passed since Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

After days of eagerly waiting for the election results, Mr Biden was confirmed as the next President of the United States on November 7, 2020.

While many celebrated Biden’s victory and the fact that Trump had finally lost, the rejoicing was quickly forced to a halt as false claims of a ‘stolen election’ began to spread.

Donald Trump is, of course, the loudest voice shouting that the Democrats took his ‘big win’ from him.

What followed was chaos, violence, and anger from Trump’s loyal MAGA fans. There is no way Americans have prepared enough for how difficult the coming months will be.

What we do know, as shown during his presidency, is that Trump will not soon leave the White House without a fight. And when he finally lost the support of political officials and reluctantly agreed to step down, it turned out that he had fallen even further.

From banning Twitter to inciting riots in the U.S. Capitol, to making history as the first president to be impeach twice; here’s a roundup of the lowlights of Donald Trump’s life as a former president.

Banned on Twitter

Perhaps the only thing that hurt Donald Trump more than losing the presidency was the loss of the ability to post all of his hilarious tweets.

After the Jan. 6 riots in the U.S. Capitol, he was banned by Twitter, along with several other social media platforms. Twitter’s decision came after seeing its tweets violate its policy prohibiting “glorifying violence” and “likely” to encourage people to mimic what happened in the deadly insurgency.

Since leaving Trump has made many appearances on Fox News and held his own rally, but it begs the question, how many people are still following Trump? The response was not nearly as numerous when he was on Twitter and had 88 million followers. Not to mention, the fact that he trends almost every day by firing one of his unsupported tweets as a surefire way of attracting the attention he wants, and it works every time.

His failed blog

Again, Trump just really wants to feel that people care about his opinions and his failed blog is the opposite. “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” launched in May but closed after only a month on spreading rumors that it had almost no readers.

And if you thought there was a chance that Trump would blog again soon, you were mistaken. The official “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” page was completely scrubbed from Trump’s website in June. Trump’s senior aide Jason Miller also confirmed that “it’s not coming back”.

He insisted that he did not like women urinating on him

The Washington Post reported that while talking to GOP donors, the 45th president randomly referred to and denied the allegations in the Steele dossier, compiled by a former British intelligence officer, who claimed that there was video footage of prostitutes urinating in front of Trump in a Moscow hotel room in 2013. This was refuted by Robert Mueller.

Not motivated, Trump told donors, “I’m not fond of golden showers,” he told the crowd.

Continue to believe that he won the election

You would think that after a few months, Trump finally became a good loser and reluctantly accepted the election results. Mali!

Trump still maintains that Biden won the election unfairly and that Democrats cheated on him.

“The single biggest issue-the issue that gets the most pull, the most respect, the biggest cheers-is talking about election fraud in the 2020’s presidential election,” Trump said at a recent rally in Iowa . This is just one of many examples where he dismissed the results.

Melania Trump caught her eyes rolling at her husband

Okay, this one may have been consistent throughout his presidency, but it’s still gold. After living in what could have been a quiet time to reconnect as partners out of the limelight, Melania doesn’t seem to have been more affectionate with Donald Trump, even if not in public.

Melania was caught smiling next to the Republican politician as they attended the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series, but the smile immediately disappeared when she turned away.

The moment was captured on camera and, like most of Melania and Donald Trump’s embarrassing interactions, has gone viral.
