Donald Butler
Services for Donald Eugene Butler, 89, of Ada, are 10 am Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will preside. Funeral will follow at Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, OK. The visit is Sunday, Nov. 14 from 2-4 pm at Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. passed away. Butler on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at a hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 13, 1932, in Lawton, OK to Freddie Wayne and Lena Lorissa Waller Butler. He married Marjorie Ann Butler in Yuma, Arizona, Jan. 12, 1951. He preceded his death on June 30, 2019. Completed by Mr. Butler spent 10 years at Lawton High School and then enlisted in the Navy. He was awarded an Honorary Diploma from the Lawton Board of Education in 2015. While serving in the Navy Mr. Butler was a Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class, E4 Gunners Mate and he served in the Korean Conflict June 1950 – March 1954. He was the Founder of Butler’s Minit Mart and he was a rural mail carrier. Mr. Butler was a member of the Central Church of Christ and he enjoyed serving the public through his businesses. Survivors are his three sons, Allen Butler and wife Cindy, Mike Butler, and Brian Butler; Swiss Daughter, Sondra Honegger Zurcher; seven grandchildren; 14 great -grandchildren; two brothers -in -law, David Witten and Truman Witten; a nephew and many nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Lena Butler; two brothers, Dale and Leon; two sisters, Freda and Betty; his wife of 68 years, Marjorie; son, Freddie Butler; and granddaughter, Summer Lorissa Butler. Carriers are Joey Ardrey, Josh Butler, Matt Butler, Jeremy Butler, Jason Prather, and Butch Lorenz. In exchange for flowers, family request memories will be made at the Compassion Outreach Center, 820 Stadium Drive, Ada, OK 74820, or at a charity of your choice.
