Donald Trump to host a fundraiser for CD 13 candidate Anna Paulina Luna

Former President Donald Trump will join congressional candidate Anna Paulina Lunaat Mar-a-Lago for three weeks to raise funds for his campaign to take over Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

The fundraiser is set for Dec. 7 at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort in Palm Beach.

Tickets for the private reception cost $ 1,000, with purchases benefiting the APL Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee comprised of Luna’s affiliate campaign account and the APL PAC.

The partnership with the former President is no longer new for the Luna campaign that Trump endorsed him this year and later, calling him a “warrior” and “winner.” Luna also spoke at a Tampa Trump rally in October 2020, led by Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Luna got an endorsement from Trump in 2020, where he advanced in the General Election against the current U.S. Rep. CharlieCrist, leaving the seat to run for Governor.

The upcoming fundraiser with the former President is likely to give Luna help to Republican voters, even according to the poll.

Although Luna is already the GOP’s front-runner for Floridas 13th Congressional District, polls found if he aggressively promotes his endorsement from Trump, his chances are nearly double.

Luna led the GOP majority in the 2022 election with 38% support, according to the latest survey from St. Louis. Pete Polls. None of the other candidates, including former opponent Amanda Makki, even broke double-digit voting support.

The share of Lunas support jumped to more than 64% when voters were informed about his endorsement of Trump, with undecided voters dropping to 22%. However, no other candidate reached the double digits.

However, what could be a bigger blow to Luna’s opponents is what the former President said in his endorsement.

It also comes as a jab at Makki, who first entered Trump territory and escalated conservative rhetoric at his campaign start in July a change from his previous approach as a more moderate conservative who supported Trump.
