WASHINGTON (AP) Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Maryland Del. Daniel Coxs bid for Republican nomination for governor.
The Washington Post reported Trump’s endorsement on Monday that described Cox as a tough lawyer and smart businessman who fought the Rigged Presidential Election at every step.

In addition to fighting the certification of the results of the 2020 presidential election, Cox sued Republican Gov. Larry Hogan because of orders to stay home.
Trump said Cox’s opponent, Kelly Schulz, was chosen by Hogan, and called her RINO.

Hogan tweeted that he prefers endorsements from people who haven’t lost Maryland by 33 points.
Dirk Haire, the state’s Republican Party leader, said the race will come down to how well Schulz, Cox and Robin Ficker laid out their visions.
