In a recent interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump declined to determine if he will officially run as president again, only confirming that he is waiting until after the upcoming midterms to make any kind of announcement. However, Trump said, “I think a lot of people will be very happy, honestly, with the decision,” which looks hopeful. Top GOP pollster Tony Fabrizio told Politicothe controversial star is still the top pick of Republicans, due to Trump’s vice-like grip on the party. Moreover, Fabrizio considers that his path to success runs in the five major states that Trump defeated to Biden in 2020.
However, Trump’s former fixer, Michael Cohen argued on a CNN show that there was one main reason why he wouldn’t run completely: “His fragile ego can’t be considered a two -time loser.” Trump lost more than seven million votes for the first time and will lose even more if he runs again which, according to Cohen, is not something he will risk. So far, Trump has raised more than $ 100m in campaign funds, which Cohen described as “the world’s greatest grift.” The disgraced former lawyer elaborated, “He’s bringing in more money than when he had the Trump Organization with all its assets. So why would you give it away?”
However, don’t expect Trump to bow nicely anytime soon. As long as he continues to act as if running is a real possibility, Trump stands to earn a decent amount.
