Donald Edward Austrew

October 14, 1929 – November 20, 2021

Donald E. Austrew, age 92, of Manistique/Evansville, IN, returned home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

He was taught about God and his Son, Jesus Christ, by his godly parents and at various churches which his family attended and his father attended The Church of the Nazarene in Broken Bow, NE. ; East Chicago, IN; Cates, IN; at Evansville, IN.

He grew up in Evansville, IN. He attended Central High School, Evansville, IN; Morey Jr. High and East High, Denver, CO; graduated from Broken Bow HS, Broken Bow, NE in 1947. He attended Olivet Nazarene College (now ONU) before joining the U.S. Marine Corps and serving in his Country during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist at Inland Steel before retiring to Manistique, MI in 1985.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Naomi (Gresser) Austrew; niece, Holly (Scott) Kincaid; and great -niece, Kathryn (Andy) Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Revs. Edward and Mrs. Grandmother (Wright) Austrew, and her sister Helen (Harley) Lictenberger.

Private burial at Park Lawn Cemetery of Browning Funeral Home, Evansville, IN.
