The Washington, DC city government filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against two right-wing extremist groups for their role in the violent Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of president Donald Trump.
The case accuses Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and more than 30 individuals associated with groups of “conspiring to intimidate the District of Columbia,” the official name of the U.S. capital, the city’s Attorney General Karl Racine said.
