Donald B. Farthing

LEIPSIC – Donald B. Farthing, 79, of Leipsic died 10:10 pm Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 at Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton, Florida. He was born on July 19, 1939 in Lima to the late Burdette and Burnis (Miley) Farthing. On November 7, 1965, he married Carol Jones Richter, a Leipsic survivor.

Also surviving are 3 children: Curtis (Sharon) Farthing of Pandora, Mike (Denise) Ritcher of Hamilton, Ohio and Tatia (Dean) Langston of Eugene, Oregon; 7 apo; 3 Sisters: Janeen Elliott of Ottawa, Jan Frantz of Cridersville and Joyce (Jim) Stover of Reno, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by a son: David Farthing and his brother: Dennis Farthing.

Don retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima. He attended Leipsic United Methodist Church, was a member of the Leipsic Rod and Gun, and a lifelong member of the NRA. He cooled off in Bradenton, Florida and spent the summer on the Maumee River.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Leipsic United Methodist Church, where Pastor Ruth Carder Crist will lead. The visitation is one hour before church services.
