Donald Trump is booing his own supporters for having the Covid booster jab

Former US president Donald Trump was beaten by some of his own supporters at a rally on Monday after revealing he had the Covid booster vaccine.

The 75-year-old speaks at the end of his History Tour of Florida and Texas, along with former Fox News presenter Bill O’Reilly.

Speaking to most of the uncovered supporters at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, Mr. Trump described the Covid vaccine as life-saving.

“Here, we did something historic, we saved tens of millions of lives around the world when we, together, all of us, we got a vaccine,” he said.

“This was going to ravage the country far beyond what it is right now, take credit for it … what we did was very beautiful, historic. Don’t let them take it ”, he added.

The 45th President of the United States also told supporters that “they should not be forced” to get vaccinated if they do not want to.

The taunts came after political commentator Bill O’Reilly told the crowd that “both the president and I have been vaxxed.”

When the couple confirmed they had a third dose of Covid vaccine, some in the crowd began to boo.

The Republican then urged his supporters to remain silent, and dismissed the booing as coming from a small fraction of the majority.

“Don’t, don’t, don’t … it’s okay, very small group up there”, he said.

Mr Trump was booed earlier this year when he told supporters he had received the Pfizer vaccine.

At a rally in Alabama in August, the former president told fans the jab works.

“I recommend taking the vaccine, I did it, it’s good … you’ve got your freedoms but I happened to take the vaccine. If it doesn’t work, you’ll be the first to know.”

Mr Trump – who is from New York – spent the weekend in hospital after testing positive for Covid in October 2020, a month before losing the presidential election to Joe Biden.
