49ers DE Nick Bosa hopes to one day learn from Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn

No matter how good 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has been in his three -year career in the NFL, there’s still a few things he can learn from some of the game’s other standouts.

In his media session after training on Thursday, Bosa announced the two players he looks up to that he would like to talk to someday. Both players have impressive career resumes and could teach Bosa a thing or two if they give him a chance.

Bosa’s interest in Donald is not surprising, as Donald has long been recognized as the best defensive player in the NFL. “I’d definitely like to hear from Aaron Donald just to hear what his mindset is because he’s so elite,” Bosa said.

Quinn is an intriguing choice, but Bosa (46 tackles, 15 sacks in 2021) has a good reason why he wants to tap his brain. The 31-year-old Quinn has scored 99.5 sacks in the career and is having one of the best years of her career (41 tackles, 17 sacks), and Bosa wants to know more about how she has done. this is because of how consistently he played against the top competition – in addition to asking Quinn about his very effective chop move.

“I really ask him about the cross chop,” Bosa said of Quinn. “But I think, more than that move he’s been leading all year. And I think it’s interesting that he’s just playing right, because for the guys that had the numbers he had, always He fights with the left tackle, which is usually the better player. It would definitely be good news for the 49ers if Bosa could learn from every player and add to his impressive repertoire. If one day he gets a chance to talk to Donald and Quinn, they’ll be joined by another star defender he’s talked to before – Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones.
