Donald Lee Whitt, age 89, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at his home. A native of Greeneville, MO, Donald was the son of the late Alex Thurman and Christina Ollie (Richmond) Whitt. He is a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Donald is a lifelong music lover. He played guitar, violin, organ and banjo. In addition to his parents, Donald preceded the deaths of three siblings: Blanche Giewitz, Hazel Allison and Myrl Whitt.

Donald Lee Whitt leaves his memory: wife of 65 years: Mary Elizabeth (Siebert) Whitt; children: Carol Miller and wife Dwayne, Patricia Dinwiddie and husband Tim, Donald Whitt and wife Jana, and Catherine Jorgensen and husband John; grandchildren: Dylan Miller and wife, Erin, Alexandra Britt and husband Tyler, Autumn Duckworth and wife Jaeson, Tiffany Brogdon, Tyler Dinwiddie, Don Whitt and wife Dr. Rachel Whitt, and Dr. Ronald Schroeder and wife Rebecca; great -grandchildren: Tucker Miller, Ava Duckworth, Isla Duckworth, RJ Schroeder, and Aria Schroeder.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the women of Centenary United Methodist Church and to the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Becky Bennett and Melissa Martin for their love and care during this difficult time.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence and we offer a tribute and remembrance of the life of Donald Lee Whitt at a Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Lloyd Jones and Reverend Kim Isley will preside. The honorary pallbearers were Dylan Miller, Ronald S. Schroeder, Tyler Dinwiddie, Don Whitt and Tyler Britt.
