Trump’s Business Received $ 55,000 In Campaign Funds From Arizona Gubernatorial Candidate Kari Lake Last Year

The campaign for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake will spend $ 55,000 on Trump assets in 2021, according to a report filed Saturday with Arizona’s secretary of state.

The former president was accompanied by Lake, whom he endorsed in September, as a feature speaker at his rally Saturday night in Arizona.

Mar-a-Lago received most of the money, accepting five payments totaling $ 52,000 between September and November. Lake held a fundraiser in November at the Palm Beach club, where the former president spoke with supporters. Tickets for that event range from $ 1,000 to $ 30,000, according to an invitation obtained by Stacey Barchenger of the Arizona Republic.

In the same week of that event, Lake dropped another $ 3,300 at Trump’s nearby Palm Beach golf course. Lake’s campaign separately reported spending money on Trump’s hotels in Chicago and Washington, DC

Lake did not make any contributions to its own campaign, meaning all of the funds it spent on Trump’s assets came from donors.

Spokesmen for the Lake campaign and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Former President Donald Trump spoke with Kari Lake donors in Mar-a-Lago in November. His campaign spent $ 52,000 at the former president’s private resort last year.
