A letter from the panel to Ivanka Trump includes parts of a text exchange from Hannity and then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who has since returned to Fox.
In the texts, Hannity recounts only a few points of the broader communication plan for responding to the attack, among other advice.
“1- No more stolen election talks,” Hannity reportedly texted McEnany, who himself sat down with committee investigators last week after being subpoenaed.
According to the letter, he continued, “2- Yes, the impeachment and the 25th amendment are true and many people will stop …”
McEnany was reported to have responded with “You love that. Thank you. That’s the playbook. I will help reinforce …,” though it is unclear what else she may have said.

Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did an attorney for Hannity.
The committee asked Hannity earlier this month to voluntarily sit on the committee, a similar outreach to the request for cooperation made with Ivanka Trump on Thursday.

The letter the panel sent to the Fox News host also indicated that he spoke with the former president on Jan. 10, awaiting Biden’s inauguration.
“Guys, we have a clear path to land the plane in 9 days. He won’t mention the election again. Ever. I don’t have a good call to him today. And worse, I’m not sure what’s left to do or say, and I don’t like not knowing if it’s really understood. Ideas? ” Hannity wrote, according to the panel.
