Former President Donald Trump’s lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, said Trump told him that if one of his children had to go to jail because of the family business, make sure Donald Jr. and not Ivanka Trump.

Cohen said Trump gave him the tutoring when his children were on the verge of prosecution by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in 2012, according to a Business Insider report.

The case in 2012 was the result of lying about the number of units sold.

Cohen added that Trump told him, though indirectly, that “if one or the other needs to be jailed, make sure Don does that.”

Cohen said Trump said Donald Jr. could handle it.

Recently, the former president lashed out at the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack for inviting Ivanka to give her testimony.

Donald Trump to His Children

The select committee sent a letter to Ivanka requesting her volunteer interview, who was a White House adviser to Trump during his presidency, according to a Newsweek report.

The chairman of the panel, Rep. Bennie Thompson, said Ivanka was in direct contact with her father in the main events of the Jan. 6 incident.

Trump said it was a “very unfair situation for his children.” He added that it was a shame, using these things “to try and clear people’s minds of how incompetent our country is running,” according to The Hill report.

Trump said the select committee would chase the children.

The panel on Jan. 6 also subpoenaed and obtained phone records relating to Trump’s son Eric Trump and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former adviser to the former president.

Guilfoyle is also Donald Jr.’s fiancée.

Lawsuits Against Donald Trump’s Family and Business

New York Attorney General Letitia James said her investigation into the Trump Organization found “significant evidence” of fraudulent and fraudulent asset valuations.

James filed legal action to impose the subpoenas given to Trump and his sons Donald Jr. and Ivanka.

The attorney general said those two young Trumps were “closely involved in the transactions in question.”

Meanwhile, Cohen said there was “no chance” the former president would offer to cooperate with investigations on Jan. 6 to protect his daughter from legal problems.

The former Trump lawyer said Trump only cares about himself, more than he cares “about his children.”

Cohen is one of the most trusted members of Trump’s inner circle. He was jailed in 2019 for three years for lying to Congress and financial crimes related to “hush money payoffs” involving the two women, who claimed they had a relationship with Trump.

He then wrote a memoir in 2020 and turned his back on his former boss. The book is titled “Disloyal.”

Cohen said in his book that Trump is a “racist and conman” engaged in tax and financial crimes.
