Donald Trump has suggested running for president in 2024 amid an anti-trans rant, describing LGBTQ+ rights as a “social decadence.”

Trump made the comments Tuesday (July 26) at the first annual summit of the America First Policy Institute, a right-wing Republican non-profit.

In a blurb, he cited LGBTQ-inclusive education and health care for trans folk, saying: “Federal, state, and local governments should aggressively enforce existing laws to prevent child sexual abuse. You have rules.

“A society that refuses to protect its children is a society that will soon be unable to protect anyone.” Trump continued.

“It is a sign of cultural and social decay that we must fight very hard and very soon, we don’t have time to wait years to do it.”

Despite devoting much of his speech to health care for trans youth, Trump admitted he had no idea what he was talking about.

He continued: “The sick ones pushing sexual content in kindergartens or giving puberty blockers to young children who don’t know what a puberty blocker is neither me, by the way, nor most of the audience

“Let’s just say they are up to no good – not just engaging in corrupt practices, in many cases they are breaking the law and should be held fully accountable.”
