An all-star tribute to the groundbreaking musician, composer, and educator Donald Byrd. Musical director Sean Jones, has assembled a group featuring Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Gary Bartz, who played on many of Donald Byrds hits, Grammy Award-nominated drummer, Nate Smith, bassist and band member of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Endea Owens, acclaimed jazz trombonist Frank Lacy, Pittsburgh-born, New Zealand based pianist, Brett Williams, and surprise guests.
Special appearances from Donald Byrd III, President of the Donald Byrd Cultural Foundation, and former Blackbyrd, Keith Killgo.
