A recent New York Times story revealed issues with several of Donald Trump’s legal counsel representing him in investigations relating to the January 6 Capitol attack, efforts to nullify the election results, and the inquiry into secret information captured from his Mar-a-Lago resort.

According to the New York Times, Christopher Kise, a former Florida federal prosecutor, has been appointed to lead Trump’s legal team. Kise is said to have agreed to work for the former president in exchange for a $3 million contingency fee.

Newsweek profiles the members of Trump’s legal team, led by Kise, below. Christopher Kise – The former Florida solicitor general was first reported to have been hired by Trump as part of his judicial defense team in August.

Corcoran, Evan – Corcoran has emerged as an important figure in the federal investigation into the seizure of classified documents from Trump’s home over the last week.

Christina Bobb – Bobb is the latest Trump lawyer under investigation in the Mar-a-Lago case. Bobb, who was in charge of keeping records for Trump, is said to have approved the letter Corcoran wrote stating that the FBI received all classified materials stored in Trump’s Florida home in June.

James Trusty -Ifrah Law partner James Trusty is a lawyer. Trusty is one of the only Trump lawyers with relevant experience managing the FBI Mar-a-Lago search, having served in the Justice Department and as a federal prosecutor in Maryland.

Lindsey Halligan -Halligan is a Mar-a-Lago insurance lawyer working on the case. She was also said to have presided over Trump’s Florida resort.

Boris Epshteyn – The lawyer and former Trump political consultant was summoned by the House Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack to testify about his accusation of efforts to keep Trump in authority.

John Rowley – Rowley is an additional former federal prosecutor collaborating with Trump on behalf of the federal investigation into an attempted coup in 2020. Timothy Parlatore -Timothy Parlatore, the founding member and senior partner of Parlatore Law Group, is collaborating with Corcoran and Rowley to depict participants who testified in cases related to Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
