Donald Trump facing legal battles

Former US president Donald Trump is facing a slew of legal battles.

A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of the Justice Department, which will allow prosecutors to continue reviewing the documents taken at Mar-a-Lago last month as part of its criminal investigation.

Mr. Trump has repeatedly argued that he had declassified the documents he took with him when he left the White House.

“You can declassify just by saying it’s declassified, even by thinking about it because you’re sending it to Mar-a-Lago or to wherever you’re sending it,” he said.

“You’re the president, you make that decision.”

While Mr. Trump faces a battle with the Justice Department, the former US president has also been sued by New York Attorney General Letitia James for alleged fraud after a New York investigation into the Trump Organization.
