Newburyport – Mr. Donald B. Snow, 88, of Newburyport, died Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston following a brief illness. Don was born in Danvers and was the son of the late Isaac H. and Sarah (Thorne) Snow. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, class of 1952. He continued his education at the University of Massachusetts where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and later an MBA at Boston University. An honorably discharged veteran, Don served his country as a member of the United States Army Tank Corps. Don was married to Margaret (Callahan) Snow and lived in Swampscott for many years. Don had a long and successful career in Financial Services. He was responsible for implementing TQM team building, management training and problem solving for The Boston Company, where he served as Senior Vice President. Before that, he held various Senior Vice President positions at the Bank of Boston. He was well respected by many in the financial institutions throughout New England. After retiring from Financial Services, Don allowed his entrepreneurial spirit to lead him to become the Co-Owner of The Maids of New England, a franchise owned maid services and home cleaning business. Along with his business partner they were the key Executive Officers who developed and maintained the entire Northeast Region until their recent divestiture. A longtime resident of Swampscott and Newburyport, Don was an avid golfer and tennis player. Don was also a remarkable admirer of Japanese art, both modern and antique. He was a passionate traveler and enjoyed exploring the world with his beloved partner, Pamela. Don will be deeply missed. Don is survived by his long-time partner, Pamela Stewart-Pearson and her family of England, his sister-in-law, Jean Snow of Danvers and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family. He was the brother of the late John Snow, Robert Snow and Ralph Snow. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations Funerals Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Route 62) Danvers, Tuesday, October 25th at 11 am Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.
