Some of them have flags mounted on the back, some drivers and passengers just roll down the windows and pump their fists.

Scenes like these are routine here.

A man with a FAKE MEDIA IS CNN sign makes it his mission to disturb as many live crosses as he can, including ours.

When reporters try and avoid him by standing on the water’s edge he is not daunted.

He wades into the water and holds his sign up or stands next to them and shouts out as they do their crosses, warning the media hes filming them too.

Many of the supporters subscribe to the lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

All love Trump, you don’t turn up here unless you are a diehard.

When I ask about Ron DeSantis, the other Floridian making waves as a possible Presidential candidate, most are complimentary.

How could they not be?

DeSantiss success in being elected by a huge margin to a second term as Governor was one of the takeaway success stories in otherwise disappointing midterm elections for the Republicans.

They’re still loyal to Trump, but they’re not blind to DeSantis’ potential.
