Trump Goes on Late-Night Posting Bender Over Latest Matt Taibbi-Elon Musk Twitter Files Info Dump

Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to promote posts about the latest release in the ongoing Matt Taibbi–Elon Musk “Twitter Files” information dump.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk recently authorized and assisted in the release of a dump of information by Matt Taibbit that was taken by those concerned about the treatment of the Hunter Biden story, but was panned by many others as no longer- overhype and misleading package of cherry-picked internal documents that bear little value on further analysis.

But others, particularly critics of Twitter’s past moderation policies, are enthralled with each release.

In the latest installment titled “THREAD: The Twitter Files THE REMOVAL OF DONALD TRUMP Part One: October 2020-January 6th” Taibbi promised the following:

The world knows most of the story of what happened between the riots at the Capitol on January 6th, and the removal of President Donald Trump from Twitter on January 8th…

It’s great to show you what hasn’t been revealed: the erosion of standards within the company in the months leading up to J6, decisions by high-ranking executives to break their own rules, and more, against against the backdrop of ongoing, documented interactions with federal agencies.

This first phase covers the period before the elections until January 6th. Tomorrow, @Shellenbergermd will detail the turmoil within Twitter on January 7th. On Sunday, @BariWeiss will reveal secret internal communications from the key date of January 8th.

Trump hijacked the thread, pushing out five different posts in the wee hours of the night promoting articles making all kinds of outrageous claims about the documents Musk chose to hand over to Taibbi under a set of undisclosed conditions to which Taibbi agreed.

After the first dump of the files on Twitter, Mediaite founder Dan Abramstold Colby Hall that it’s amazing that with access to all of Twitter’s internal e-mails they don’t have a single smoking gun that implicates a government leader or even that any wrongdoing campaign. Before the Musks even recognize what’s there, I expect there will be something more sinister. . . from a relative.

That pile-up also became the impetus for Trump’s rant calling for the “TERMINATION” of the US Constitution.
