Donald Tec Parr A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Raymond Tec Parr of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. Father Richard Rath, pastor of the church, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Old Monroe. Pallbearers will be Michael Benedict, David Parr, Tim Kersting, Keith Kendall, Craig Buechler and Jeremy Gnade. Mr. Parr, 68, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2022 at Barnes St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born July 26, 1954 in Troy, MO, he was the son of Raymond William and Eleanor Christine Burkemper Parr. Tec was a 1972 graduate of Winfield High School. After graduation, he began working for St. Charles Engineering & Surveying. Tec was united in marriage on May 20, 1978 in St. Paul, MO to Sandra Kay Grabenhorst. This union was blessed with three children: Brian, Sherry and Kevin. In April, 1981, Tec, Bill Shey and Ray Picket formed Tri-County Engineering & Surveying in Troy, MO. After Bill and Rays retired, Tec became the sole owner. He was elected Lincoln County Surveyor in 2008 and has served in that capacity for the past three and a half terms. In his nearly 50 year career in the field, Tec is respected as a Surveyor. He attended Auctioneering school and assisted several Auctioneers, most recently Nick Allen. He has auctioned at most Ducks Unlimited Auctions over the years. He is an avid Duck hunter and outdoorsman. Tec was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Old Monroe Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eleanor Parr; a sister-in-law, Patricia Payne Parr; and four brothers-in-law: Ralph Benedict, Glennon Kersting, James Kendall and Ed Gilbert. Tec is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Sandy Parr of Old Monroe; their children: Brian Parr of Columbia, MO, Sherry Jordan and her husband Jason, of OFallon, MO, and Kevin Parr of Old Monroe; four grandchildren: Alex, Blake, Bryce and Ella Jordan. He is also survived by a brother, Vernon Parr of Flint Hill, MO; four sisters, Jean Benedict of Flint Hill, Betty Kersting, Mary Kendall and Kathy Gilbert, all of Old Monroe; several in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Picnic Grounds Hall in Old Monroe.
