Obituary of Donald Dale Durr

Donald Dale Durr, 76, of Greeley, CO died Thursday, March 3, 2016. He was born August 9, 1939 in Evans, CO to Peter and Mary (Meier) Durr. Donald grew up in the Evans and Greeley area. He graduated from Evans High School in 1957. In April of 1959, in Greeley, Donald married the love of his life, Nancy Hurdle. Donald was a valued employee for IBM as a machinist until his retirement in 1991. Donald enjoyed fishing, gardening, genealogy, working on cars and polka music. He was a very loving father and grandfather. Donald is survived by his daughter, Lori (Gordon) Alexander of Fort Lupton; son, Mikel Durr of Greeley; grandchildren, Scott Alexander, Tammy Dolan, and Hannah Alexander all of Fort Lupton and Michael Durr of Greeley; great-grandsons, Seth Alexander and Nicholas Alexander, both of Fort Lupton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy; son, Dr. Jeffery Durr; and 10 siblings. Viewing will be Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Adamson Chapel. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Adamson Chapel; 2000 47thAvenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will be in Evans Cemetery.
