Donald Trump’s Confidants Tried To Block Ali Alexander From January 6. Trump Is Not Crossing.

When former President Donald Trump’s advisers helped set up the Jan. 6 rally outside the White House, Trump’s inner circle tried to prevent Stop the Steal organizer Ali Alexander from speaking.

Trump confidantes are so concerned about the president’s association with Alexander that, despite Alexander being a central organizer for the Jan. 6 rally, they have repeatedly taken steps to distance Trump to Alexander.

Alexander, whose real name is Ali Akbarhad a criminal record dating back to 2007, when he pleaded guilty to felony theft of property and was sentenced to 12 months probation. But more than that, Alexander became a far-right agitator. Before January 6, he pushed the baseless conspiracy theory that now-Vice President Kamala Harris is not Black, and when the Hotel Harrington closed its doors in the lead-up to January 6, Alexander said that, if something bad happens in the downtown tourist hotel in response to their decision, dont ask me to denounce it.

And yet, despite all the warnings, Trump overruled his advisers and made sure Alexander had a speaking spot if not on January 6 during Trumps rally at the Ellipse, then at least Freedom Plaza on January 5.

That was one of the takeaways from a number of depositions released on Jan. 6 Committee in recent days, and it’s more evidence of how far outside the mainstream Alexander was even before Jan. 6 rally turned violent and the lengths Trump went to give the far right platform.

According to a trove of depositions released by the January 6 Committee this week, many of Trump’s most loyal and plugged-in advisers are hell-bent on making sure Alexander doesn’t have a seat at the table.

The depositions include, for example, the fact that Republican operatives and Donald Trump Jr. friend Arthur Schwartz asked senior Trump adviser Katrina Pierson, Why do we let our people share a stage with Ali Akbar and people like that?

Pierson was less upset. Im so fucking pissed off. Such nonsense, he replied.

This is fucking retarded, Schwartz fired back.

Othersentwined in a chaotic Trumpworld at the time believed with Alexander and far-right provocateur Alex Jones is unwise.

Among those who quietly tried to make a case to exclude Alexander was former senior Trump campaign adviser Taylor Budowich. He made a fairly frank admission in his deposition to the committee: The way Ali Akbar and Alex Jones talk about engaging in politics is contrary to my belief in how we should behave and engage in political discourse, he said under of oath.

Budowich called the two people irresponsible, citing an experience he had when he was a student in Egypt in 2010. In particular, Budowich told the committee about how a cab driver suggested burning Egypt to the ground and letting it rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

I kind of rolled my eyes and said, Okay buddy, said Budowich to the committee.

However, while advisers expressed concern about Alexander’s inclusion in the Jan. 6 rally, the former president saw things differently.

According to the committees’ depositions and final reports, as Pierson told Women for America First and Jan. 6 organizer Kylie Kremer, Trump wants to include crazies like Alexander. The former president noted that, after the election, Stop the Steal leaders defended Trump vehemently in the public square.

It was Deputy Chief of Staff of Communications and Trump social media guru Dan Scavino who wrote in a subsequent text message that Trump brought up Alexander by name and instructed that he be on stage unrelated to POTUS or the main event, according to the committee.

All the while, Pierson still objected to Alexander. He went to Scavino to make the case for why controversial speakers should not be included. But the plan to avoid Alexander, Jones, and Roger Stone was initially vetoed by Scavino.

Pierson couldn’t stop. He gave it one last shot by going to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, writing in a text message, according to the committee: Things have gone crazy, and I need some direction.

Moving the cast of controversial characters didn’t work, and he had to file a lawsuit against Trump himself at a meeting on January 4, to preserve the border and bar the convicted felon’s thinly veiled dig at Alexander from ruining the reputation of others are pro-Trump speakers.

Ultimately, Trump requested that Alexander be given a speaking slot, according to the committee.

All the while, to this day, those around the former president remain convinced that Trump doesn’t know who Alexander is, despite asking to learn more about the far-right activist.

Trump definitely doesn’t know who Ali Alexander is, a source close to Trump insisted to The Daily Beast. And while Alexander may not have a direct line to the former president, at one point, he caught Trumps eye, likely after staging a similar protest in Georgia.

Other top figures in Trumpworld also seem to be reeling from Alexander. When committee investigators asked Kimberly Guilfoylea MAGA influencer who was engaged to Don Jr. about Ali Akbar, he replied: Isn’t that what the terrorists are shouting?

A source close to Guilfoyle insisted to The Daily Beast that he does not know Alexander. Kimberly has no idea who this guy is or what he’s doing, the source said.

(Guilfoyle, for his part, pocketed $60,000 for a two-minute speech on January 6.)

When reached for comment by The Daily Beast, Alexander would not comment on his relationship with Trump or whether he has a direct line to the former president. But he insists Trump is a fan of his work.

Trump, the donors, and the organizers want it [sic] I. And this is the movement I created, he told The Daily Beast. Losers who grift don’t like me. He even accused Pierson of returning to his ghetto grifter ways and claimed he betrayed Trump. Trump supported me, he argued. (Pierson declined to comment.)

As Scavino pointed out, Trump supported Alexander in speech at least to an extent. As Trump pointed out, Alexander spoke at a rally in Freedom Plaza on the eve of January 6, where he declared: Victory or death!

The next day, while the Capitol was under siege, Pierson sent a text message to fellow senior Trump adviser Max Miller about why shed fought so hard to keep some people away from that disastrous episode. .

The good news is I stopped the crazies on stage, he texted, according to the committee.

Thank God, Miller replied.

While Alexander’s precise relationship with Trumpor is unclear, a source close to Trump insists that Alexander’s future in Trumpworld is not promising.

The far-right activist is irresponsible, the source said, and often makes it about himself.
