When Donald Trump watched last year’s January 6 riots unfold on TV, he commented that his supporters looked so trashy, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham testified before a House committee on January 6. , which mentions several people in the West Wing with whom he became Associates.

Grisham clarified that he didn’t hear those comments from Trump himself, but rather from some people in the West Wing, more on the military or Secret Service side, and then just a couple people, but that he was sitting in the dining room, and he was just watching all of this.

Some of his comments are that these people look very trashy, but also, Look at what warriors they are, he said.

He was quite pleased with the fact that these people were fighting for him, but he didn’t like the look of them either.

Grisham also recounted Trump’s frantic response on election night when it began to become clear that he was losing the race to Joe Biden. He was working as press secretary and chief of staff to Melania Trump, and encouraged the first lady to tell Donald Trump to be presidential in his comments and say: Look what happens, not all the votes are in.

Instead, the president took the podium and said: This is a fraud on the American public. This is a disgrace to our country. We are preparing to win this election. Actually, we won this election.

Grisham said he sat on a couch in the Blue Room and cried. I was so ashamed and pissed off that is what he chose to say, she told committee members.

Grisham resigned from the White House just hours after the violence on January 6 when Melania Trump refused his request to speak against the insurrection.

At the time, the first lady was overseeing a photo shoot of White House rugs, possibly for use in a coffee table book she has reportedly expressed interest in writing. Later, he said he had no idea what was going on that day in the Capitol.

Grisham said he quit because Melania Trump won’t take the time to get a carpet while our Capitol is under attack to tell people to be peaceful, he testified.
