You cannot believe me that Donald Trump could face criminal charges. I won’t believe it until I see the indictment papers on this very screen. From The New York Times:
Prosecutors offered Mr. Trump will have a chance to testify next week before a grand jury hearing evidence in the potential case, the people said. Such offers almost always indicate an indictment is imminent; it would be unusual for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, to inform a potential defendant without seeking charges against him.[…]Mr. Bragg may be the first prosecutor to charge Mr. Trump, but he may not be the last. In Georgia, the Fulton County District Attorney is investigating whether Mr. Trump in the 2020 election, and at the federal level, a special counsel is investigating Mr. Trump to dismiss the election results, as well as his handling of classified documents. The Manhattan inquiry, which spanned nearly five years, centered on a $130,000 payment to a porn star, Stormy Daniels, who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump. The payment was made in the final days of the 2016 presidential campaign by Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former fixer, who was later paid by Mr. Trump from the White House.
It would be an incredible irony if, after all other things, this tawdry transaction was to bring him down. Of course, on his own little website, he took up the Times piece with his customary sangfroid.
I did absolutely nothing wrong, I did not have a relationship with Stormy Daniels, nor did I want to have a relationship with Stormy Daniels. It’s a political Witch-Hunt, trying to take down the leading candidate, so far, in the Republican Party while also leading all Democrats in the polls, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Congress and many Democrat District Attorneys, the Attorney General, and the Justice Department itself, which has unprecedentedly placed top DOJ prosecutors in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to get Trump, have learned that I didn’t do anything wrong. Now, they are going back to what they were before, and reprimanding the case that was rejected by every prosecutor’s office looking into this matter of Stormy Horseface Daniels, whose advice I relied on to solve this Extortion of me, which has been going on for a long time. a while ago.
(He goes on, but you get the idea.) But I won’t believe it until I see it. And maybe not yet.
