It was not lost on viewers, for example, that while eldest son Eric joined his father on the private plane that took him to his arraignment in New York City, Melania chose to stay at home, according to The Independent. Nor was he among the audience listening to his speech at Mar-a-Lago afterward, according to The Guardian. Her absence caused Where’s Melania to trend on Twitter.

As first lady, Melania Trump is often seen but not heard, and lately she has been neither seen nor heard. Now, at least for Donald Trump, he is not seen or heard or remembered.
