Melania and Donald Trump Are Still Not on the Same Page

While former president Donald Trump is dealing with the first of possibly several criminal charges, former first lady Melania Trump is conspicuously absent from the public eye. If the latest reporting is to be believed, the Trumps are definitely not on the same page PR-strategy-wise. Concurrent accounts published on Page Six and People suggest Donald is pleading with his wife to show public support on the campaign trail. Meanwhile, sources speaking for Melania say the former FLOTUS just wants to be alone.

According to anonymous sources quoted by People on April 10, Melania does not now or has not recently participated in her husband’s political events. It was uncomfortable for him. The insider added that Melania can be aloof and not particularly friendly because she just wants to be alone. But it doesn’t exactly match what insiders told Page Six in an article published the same day. He told her, I really need you for this because we are going to be campaigning,’ the source claimed. They had a major talk over the weekend, and he agreed to ride.

If Melania actually agrees to be a visible part of her husband’s 2024 presidential campaign, we haven’t seen it yet. The closest thing to a public statement Melania has made since her husband’s arrest is a Happy Easter! tweet. She must also agree to be seen having an Easter brunch with Donald, where they reportedly dined behind a velvet rope.

It’s hard to separate what’s fact from fiction here, but whatever the conversation between Melania and Donald Trump was in person, their respective publicists certainly seem to disagree.
