You might have thought that after describing Donald Trump as a demonic force, Tucker Carlson’s interview with the former president might get a little spicy. Sadly, however, this dish is the blandest of the cheap.
In Trump’s first interview since his arraignment in Manhattan last week, the Fox host just sat there like a puppet and allowed Trump to speak, according to hosts Andy Levy and Danielle Moodie in this week’s episode of The New Abnormal.
The interview comes a month after revelations that Carlson privately said he was furious with Trump, which emerged over a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems.
This was Tucker being a good little submissive, Levy says of Carlsons Trump interview, adding, These are the people who pride themselves on being called alpha males and things like that. So it’s absolutely hilarious that Carlson sits there and literally takes his punishment for being a bad kid, because that’s exactly what happened. This wasn’t an interview Tucker just sat back and nodded. And that’s all he does.

Then Rolling Stones culture writer Miles Klee joins the podcast to confirm that when companies wake up, they’re not really broken despite much of the right wing might have you believe.
Klee said companies like Bud Light, following Dylan Mulvaney’s latest partnership, have more leverage and could even profit from the outrage.
It’s really hard to commit to a boycott especially when you’re talking about these companies that have basically become monopolies, Klee said, describing companies like Anheuser-Busch, Coors, and even Disney, all of which have been able to being too awake.
More! Daily Beasts political reporter Ursula Perano joins the show to discuss her story with the Montana GOP and its plan to defeat Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) by changing the election rules.
For many people, particularly Democrats in and out of state, it doesn’t pass the smell test, Perano said.
There was this perception that even the Republicans in the state legislature were like, Ugh, I don’t know, this is just so blatant, you know, it’s very obvious what’s going on here.
