Donald Trump Jr. defended beer conglomerate Anheuser-Busch on his podcast Thursday, urging listeners not to continue boycotting the company.
Trump said the company was too “iconic” to continue the boycott, and that executives had learned a lesson.
“So heres the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh*t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. Im not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this,” said Trump Jr.

The beer company has faced intense criticism in recent weeks following the announcement that it was partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
“When I really look at it, I can’t blame the entire company for one person’s inaction or stupidity in a marketing campaign that broke loose as hell,” Trump said of the partnership on Thursday.
Trump cited Anheuser-Busch’s record of donating less to conservative politicians than to liberals as a reason to keep buying their beer.

“The company itself is not participating in the same leftist nonsense as other large conglomerates,” Trump said. “Honestly, they’re not participating in the same woke trash that other people in the beer industry are actually doing, which is far worse than the offenders when I look at it. But if they do it again, then it’s on them. !
Mulvaney, a trans activist and social media influencer who rose to prominence after being offered the chance to interview President Biden about LGBTQ issues in 2022, revealed earlier this month that the beer company sent packages of Bud Light with her face printed on cans as part of an ad for the beer company’s March Madness tournament and as a way to celebrate a full year of “womanhood.”
Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth released a lengthy statement Friday, hoping to tone down the animosity aimed at Bud Light and its parent company.

“We don’t intend to be part of a discussion that divides people. We’re in the business of bringing people together over a beer,” Whitworth said. “My time serving this country has taught me the importance of responsibility and the values on which America was founded: freedom, hard work and mutual respect.
He added, “As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am committed to building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage.”
The statement drew criticism from both sides of the transgender issue, with social media users questioning what the message should be.
