Donald Trump’s war with Ron DeSantis continues to heat up as the former president met with Florida lawmakers Thursday in an attempt to defeat the governor in his home state.

A great group of supportive Florida Congressmen and Congresswomen, all of whom have endorsed me, are coming to Mar-a-Lago tonight, Mr Trump boasted at the Truth Social on Thursday.

Mr DeSantis has yet to announce a 2024 run but is expected to be Mr Trump’s biggest GOP rival in the race.

Meanwhile, one person who has announced his bid is Larry Elder.

The conservative talk radio host, who unsuccessfully bid to replace the governor of California in a 2021 recall effort, announced Thursday that he will run for the Republican presidential nomination.

It comes as one of Donald Trump’s top allies and one of the main few vocal election deniers left at Fox News has left the network. Dan Bongino announced the news on Thursday, blaming the inability to reach a contract.
