Donald D. Pope, age 57, of 138 Hibiscus Circle, Cordele, died Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his residence.
Donnie was born in Hawkinsville on July 14, 1965. He was a Radiology Technician and a member of Penia Baptist Church. He was also a pilot and loved hunting and fishing. More than anything, he loves to support his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include:Husband: Angie Griggs Papa of Cordele
Daughter: Katie Pope of Cordele
Son: Derek Pope (Katrice Carter) of Seattle, WA
Mother: Brenda Medlock of Cordele
Step-Sister: Robin Littleton (Wade) of Sylvester
Grandchildren: Kaiden Pope, Kehlani Pope and Eli Pope
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Pope, his sister, Sheilia Keen and his step-father, Billy Medlock.
Friends are invited to the Pope residence, 138 Hibiscus Circle, Cordele on Monday, April 24 from 1 – 7 pm for visitation with the family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial gifts be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 708 East 16th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia 31015.
