Obituary for Donald J. Collins

Don Collins, 69, of Bedford Texas (formally from Wisconsin) passed away on April 23,2023 from a short battle with cancer. Don was born on September 23,1953 in the town of Lincoln to the late Harold and Elaine (Everard) Collins.

Don enjoyed living 6 months in Texas and 6 months in Wisconsin so he could golf year round. He certainly has bragging rights for getting “a hole in one” not just once, but four times!! During his life he enjoyed welding, and teaching line dancing classes. He also stayed active playing volleyball and cycling. Don is a great storyteller and loves to laugh.

She is survived by her Children: Cindy (Ruben) Olmsted/Jackson, Nick (Rebecca) Collins, Jackie (Brian) Stollfus. And 5 grandchildren: Jada, Gabriella, Cecelia, Taryn, Tenley; also survived by brothers and sisters, Jill Jeanquart, Diane (Greg) Dorner, Dave (special friend Rhonda), Janet Lemens (special friend Bob), Mike (Vicky), and Chris (Shelly) .

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad and a special brother-in-law, Ken Jeanquart.

Visitation will be held at St John’s Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217, on Sat. May 6, from 2:30-4:30, funeral service at 4:30 with Pastor Carl Brewer officiating.
