Donald Anthony “Tony” Elkins was born on November 15, 1967 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He is the son of Donald Elkins and Janet Benge both of London, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Juanita Pennington Elkins of Lexington, Kentucky. He is also survived by seven children, David Pennington and wife Tasha of Bargersville, Indiana; Eliza Pennington of Barbourville, Kentucky; Clarence Elkins and wife Stephanie, Luke Elkins, Matthew Elkins, Douglas Elkins all of Lexington, Kentucky; William Elkins of London; nine siblings, Jeanne Baker and husband Ronnie, Tracy Pittman and husband Clint, Scottie Elkins all of East Bernstadt; Melissa Proffitt and husband David, Darlene Robinson and husband Tommy, Faith House across London; James Mosley and wife Vicki of Corbin, Kentucky; Charlotte Coots and husband Leslie of Keavy, Kentucky; Ray Jennings of Nancy, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Haley Marie Pennington, Eli Pennington, Langston Carter Elkins, Anthony Elkins, Aiden Elkins and Kimber Pennington.
Donald Anthony “Tony” Elkins departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the age of 55 years, 5 months and 16 days.
Funeral services for Donald Anthony “Tony” Elkins will be conducted at 1 PM Friday at Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with James Mosley and Charlotte Coots officiating. Burial will follow at Clarence Benge Cemetery in London.
Live streaming of the funeral service will be available through the Bowling Funeral Home website and Facebook page.
The family of Donald Anthony “Tony” Elkins will receive friends from 11 AM Friday until the time of the funeral at 1 PM at Bowling Funeral Home.
