6. Kyrsten Sinema Don’t both sides of the rejection of the election.

One state that McConnell didn’t mention as promising on his list, surprisingly, is Arizona, because the GOP is likely to nominate a kook again. In his interview with CNN, McConnell referred to an effort to bring Kyrsten Sinema to the GOP conference. We wanted to get him, McConnell said, but we didn’t get him. Sinema, now an independent, has still not made a decision about running for re-election. But he does an extraordinary amount of journalism, and he has one position he sticks to: Both of those political parties are crazy! (Sure, fine.) But when CBS’s Margaret Brennan asked what was behind all the particular declines in the Arizona election, she went both ways on it. Well, one of the unfortunate things that’s happening in Arizona, Sinema said, and we’re seeing it in other parts of the country, is that the two political parties have become more extreme. Yes, we get it, the Democrats suck; they want to put every policeman in jail and they all want to marry trees, etc. But there’s really only one side responsible for the massive increase in voter turnout in Maricopa County, Arizona. Come on!
