Donald Trump inspires ‘Ted Lasso’ to be more ‘belligerent’

Although the overly optimistic soccer coach has been a font of feel-good vibes since the shows began in summer 2020, Lasso was initially thought to be a more combative person.

When asked why the Ted Lasso team decided to steer clear of a more aggressive lead, the Apple TV+ star said, This is the culture we live in.

The actor mocked The Apprentice hosts business skills while promoting his 2011 film Horrible Bosses.

I don’t know if he’s a good boss, Sudeikis said of Trump. He’s like the Ronald McDonald of bosses. He’s more of a figurehead. He probably makes decisions but I bet people are like, Ah [waves dismissively].

Season 3 of Ted Lasso premiered in March and is now streaming on Apple TV+.
