Tom Brady will probably miss a lot of things about playing football, but running from Aaron Donald isn’t one of them. Brady, who played 23 years in the NFL, retired this offseason and has said multiple times that he won’t be back.
Whether or not that comes true come September or October, but the thought of avoiding pass rushers like Donald is likely enough to keep Brady from retiring.
He said this week that hell feels relieved when Week 1 comes around because he won’t have Donald chase me down trying to knock me out.
Who can blame him, really.

Brady faced Donald six times in his career, including the postseason, and was sacked three times by the future Hall of Fame defensive tackle. Donald had eight hits over Brady in those six games, including three in the Rams divisional round win in the 2021 playoffs.
Even when Brady isn’t sacked or hit, Donald applies pressure and makes life difficult for the quarterback. Bradys probably happy he doesn’t have to think about avoiding No. 99, though he did a decent job throughout his career.
