Former US President and Republican Party frontrunner for the 2024 presidential polls, Donald Trump reportedly left someone else to pay his bill after promising “food for everyone” at a Miami restaurant on Tuesday, June 13, when he was 77 years old.
The 77-year-old reportedly stopped by a restaurant in Little Havana to celebrate his birthday and announced “Food for everyone!”
But according to a report in the Miami New Times, Trump left without paying the bill.
Trump visited Versailles, a popular Cuban restaurant in Miami, shortly after being indicted on 37 federal charges.
The restaurant is frequented by Republican candidates in the city, so when Trump arrived, he was praised by many supporters. It is said that those in the restaurant sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘prayed over him’.
Trump only appeared briefly at the restaurant. But the former president declared to customers that there will be food for everyone. But he left so quickly that people didn’t even have time to order.

A spokesman for Donald Trump clarified to the New York Post, “President Trump is very enthusiastic and very grateful to the family at the Versailles Restaurant for hosting him this week. At the end of President Trump’s visit, he offered to buy food for a group of attendees inside the restaurant, but when President Trump left, attendees followed him outside and did not order.”
“Campaign advance team members paid for the to-go meals purchased, and there are no unpaid tabs. President Trump expects to return as soon as possible,” the spokesperson added.
The double-indicted profile of Donald Trump
Trump currently faces 37 counts of mishandling classified documents and obstructing their recovery.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges including that he stored classified information in a shower, bathroom, ballroom and a bedroom at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Prosecutors claim Trump took about 300 documents to his Florida home after leaving the White House. The FBI seized approximately 100 of these documents during a raid in August 2022.
The former president said he has the right to keep the documents after leaving office. He also said that he declared them while he was still in office.
