Bill Barr Compares Trump To A Defiant 9-Year-Old

Former Attorney General Bill Barr compared former President Donald Trump to a defiant 9-year-old child and said Trump is a very small individual who will always put his interests before the nations.

In an interview on CBS Face the Nation Sunday, Barr said that Donald Trump has many good qualities and has achieved some great things, but he has always engaged in reckless behavior that puts his political followers at risk.

Barr was asked if she believed Trump, who is accused in federal charges of mishandling government documents, lied to the Justice Department investigating the case. Yes, I know, Barr said.

Barr said much of Trump’s defense in the case that he has broad powers to declassify and possess government records from his time in office is absurd. Barr said there is no justification under the law for a former president to obtain sensitive documents such as war plans or defense materials.

The whole purpose of the Presidential Records Act is to prevent presidents from getting White House records, Barr said. It was passed after Watergate. That’s its whole purpose.

Barr argued on Sunday that if Trump were to be nominated again for president, he would put the Republican agenda in jeopardy. Should we put someone like this as the leader of the country, the leader of the free world who engages in this kind of behavior?
