Miles Taylor may not be a familiar name to everyone, but he was the chief of staff to the Homeland Security Secretary when Donald Trump was in office, and the author of an anonymous 2018 New York Times op-ed titled, “I Am Part of the Resistance within the Trump Administration.” His upcoming book, Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump, doesn’t come out until July 18, but a newly released excerpt is already making waves about the allegedly inappropriate comments that the former president made about his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
The book dives into Donald Trump’s “naked sexism” toward women where he often makes nasty comments about people in his orbit, including Ivanka. Several aides discussed the former president openly discussing “what it might be like to have sex with him,” according to an excerpt obtained by Newsweek. And it gets worse. “Aides said he talked about Ivanka Trump’s breasts, her backside, and what it might feel like to have sex with her, statements that once led to [former Chief of Staff] John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka is his daughter,” Taylor wrote.
The conversation was so disturbing to Kelly that in retelling the story to Taylor, she described Donald Trump as “a very, very bad man.” This isn’t the first time the former president has sexualized his daughter through scathing public comments. She told Howard Stern in 2003 that her oldest daughter “got the best body.” And during a 2006 appearance on The View, he praised Ivanka’s “beautiful figure” and then continued, “I said if Ivanka wasn’t my daughter, I’d probably be dating her.”

Aside from the nasty comments to Ivanka, Taylor made it clear that many women in the Donald Trump administration are on the receiving end of his unwanted comments and sexism. “There are still some female leaders from the Trump administration who have not held their tongues about the unequal treatment they have faced in the administration at best, and the absolute sexism they have experienced at the hands of Donald Trump in worst,” Taylor shared with Newsweek.
She also believes that Donald Trump is to blame for the current deteriorating rights for women in the US “He is setting a very negative tone within the Republican Party, and in a sense has normalized a rather pessimistic view of women in general ,” Taylor said. However, Donald Trump remains the frontrunner of the GOP Party despite all fair warnings.
