But there was one person who was clearly not by his side: his wife, Melania.

This week, rumors began to swirl that there was trouble in Trump town between Donald and Melania.

That’s because during the entirety of her legal peril on Tuesday – appearing in court, flying home, and speaking at Mar-a-Lago – Melania was conspicuously absent.

It was a transactional marriage, she knew what she was getting into when she married Donald. His way of living is to act like it never happened.”

He added, “Privately, Melania says people are just jealous, and she hopes the Stormy Daniels scandal is swept under the carpet. Her way of coping is to not let her feelings show or affect her. I predict that we will see him back by her side at the next social event at Mar-a-Lago.

Wolkoff’s explanation tracks what the public knows about Melania’s private motivations, which is not that important.

As First Lady, she was closed, aloof, and aloof. While she participates in charities and events supporting her husband, Melania is often out of the spotlight or seen next to her son Baron.
