Donald Blake, 55, Minot, formerly of Towner, ND, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at a Minot hospital.
Donald M. Blake was born, along with his twin sister, Donna, on September 13, 1967, a son of Donald and Charlotte (Burr) Blake in Springfield, MO. He was raised and educated in Towner graduating from Towner High School in 1986. After graduation, Donald worked at various jobs, including Winger Cheese, Continental Metals and became a truck driver.
On May 7, 2004, Donald was united in marriage to JoAnn Sinclair in Minot. They returned home to Minot, where Donald worked for the Minot Daily News in the delivery department. To this union was born the daughter Alexis. The couple later separated.
Don enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, working as a mechanic and watching movies.
Don is survived by: daughter Alexis, and her mother JoAnn; father: Donald Blake; siblings: Brenda (David) Schmitt, Donna (Terry) Ness, Delvina Blake and Duane Blake; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother and brother Robert Blake.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 4-7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday at 7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. at ST. Cecelia Catholic Church, Towner, ND. The Funeral Mass will be videotaped and uploaded to the link provided on the Donald web page at www.thompsonlarson.com.
Burial: St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery, Towner, ND.
